Try removing and reseating the memory first. Sometimes the memory can be
dislodged while working inside the case. Double check the MB manual for
proper alignment and positioning of the memory.

If this is the cause, it is a simple fix.

Subject: [PCBUILD] memory changed

Hi,
I've changed a motherboard and reformatted and re-installed win98 on this
hard drive. Now, before I changed the hard drive, the memory count said
81000kb, but after the hdd change the memory count only says 16000kb.
Can any one shed some light on this please?
Could it be that I busted some memory chips while changing the hdd?

Regards,
Martha Shade
