It is true, some modems require pentiums processors to operate. Not all 56K
modems require the CPU to operate. I suggest you ask your provider to suggest
is the best modem for you. What I am suggesting here is that you match your
modem to your Internet provider's equipment.  I am not familiar with presario
7200 but I'm sure there is a fast modem that can be installed on your system.
