Did the adapter come with the keyboard? I have seen PS/2 converters for mice,
but most motherboards that I have seen require that you have a keyboard
plugged into either a plug specifically for the keyboard, a PS/2 plug, or a
USB port. Some systems even require that it be a particular PS/2 plug.
