Roxanne,
I have a Microtek ScanMaker 9600XL which handles 12" x 17". It is a 36 bit
(true color), 600x1200 optical resolution (4800 interpolated), SCSI
interfaced scanner. It came with a transparancy adapter with its own
scanning mechanism that included film guides for 4"x5", 60mm x 70mm and 25mm
x 35mm film sizes. Software included Photoshop 4.0 LE, Fractal Painter 5.0,
DCR Color calibration, Omnipage LE and MicroTek ScanWizard. A SCSI
interface card and Adaptec software is also included. The scanner is
excellent. However, it was very pricy. I paid BuyComp.com $1294.00 for it
in September of last year. If you want professional quality and large
format, it can cost a lot. Any other questions, just ask.

Subject: [PCBUILD] Scanner: Need 11 x 17"

Can anyone recommend a high quality color flat-bed scanner capable of
scanning documents up to 11" x 17" in size? I have a client who is an
artist, and the more typical scan size limit of 8.5 x 11 or 8.5 x 17 just
isn't big enough. And even HP doesn't currently make a scanner that size.
