I too have a Syquest, the SparQ, the first drive was bad and I returned it
(fortunately I bought it at the School bookstore) The second drive had the
2.5.5 version of the software and while the drive is a little flaky, I love
it.  I had heard not such great things about IOMEGA, I guess it's a luck of the
draw.  I know of others who have these drives and like them.  I like the quick
seek and transfer rate on them, but since I havent had any other I have nothing
to compare them too.  I would rather have it than a CD RW even.
