Thank you for your response.  I went into My Computer as directed by the 
Microsoft Help Page.  However, the Express Card Adapter was not located in 
the "IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers" section, but rather the "IEEE 1394 Bus Host 
controllers" section.  At that point, the rest of Microsoft help page 
doesn't help because the tabs and such are not the same.  There is no 
"Advanced Settings" option or other ways to change settings. I posted an 
email on the SIIG  site stating the problem.  I'm hoping I can avoid "a 
million hits" as you mentioned in your first email.  Any ideas?
