Dear list members,

A friend of mine recently purchased an AMD K6 233MHz system from MEI/Micro
Center. I'm sure that he has a recent build of Windows 95 including FAT32.

At startup he gets the error message: "Can not load enable2.VXD module"

He can select OK from the error box and everything seems to run fine.
I searched the Registry, System.ini, and win.ini to try to see where the
request was coming from to load enable2.VXD and could not find it.

Enable2.VXD is not on his hard drive. And he would like to just eliminate the
attempt to load the module so the boot to desktop will not be halted every
time.

And ideas on what Enable2.VXD is connected with and where it loads from.
He does have a scanner attached to the system. Could it be a request from the
scanner at startup which may not be configured properly?? I don't know if he
has used his scanner yet because he just recently purchased the system. Sorry,
but I don't know the brand of the scanner.

Thanks for you help

John
