Great! Another paleo pup. One of the benefits of reading a pet raw diet
book like, "The Ultimate Diet" is that one learns to balance the pet's diet.
The vitamins and supplements like kelp and alfalfa are important, as are
pulped veggies, ground nuts/seeds/berries, etc.

When dogs/cats go "raw" they often experience a big increase in appetite and
will drop weight (sounds familiar). The weight loss balances out
eventually, but I was amazed at how much raw food my dog/cat needed to
satisfy them. One thing that really sold me on raw for pets was when I saw
their stool the next day...no more big, grain kibble based bm's...a totally
raw diet dog/cat will have very little stool. And, if enough raw, meaty
bones are fed, the stool will be pure white and will crumble.

Seeing tiny, white stool made me acknowledge that the raw food was actually
being used by their bodies and not passed through as the kibble was.

I've been paleo 13 mos., my pets for 9. All due to Neanderthin. Thanks.
