When organizations try to compare the Paleo diet to other diets they often
fail to make a valid judgement because of a qualitative difference between
the Paleo diet and others.

Most other diets (Mediterranean, etc., etc., ) rely on telling you what to
eat. The Paleo diet in its purest form (based on Neanderthin and ignoring
the "Paleo Lifestyle" profiteers) is a diet that tells you what NOT to eat.
When the ignorant see "No Grain" they think it's the Atkins diet and start
whining about too much protein. If you look at the wide variety of healthy
greens and even healthy starches (green plantains instead of potatoes)
available, you can certainly have a well-balanced diet with any proportions
you wish.

Just a thought that came to mind while at work today.
