First off, I remember hearing mention about some diet related to the
B-I-B-L-E (yes, that's the book for me, as the song goes) but I remember it
being high in carbs. Wheat and bread often used symbolically in the
scriptures, ya know. Think I'll do some surfing on this topic.

I've also seen a story on low-carb diets in Cosmopolitan. It was titled
'The Diet of the Stars' or something to that effect. As usual, it was chock
full of inaccuracies and, of course, quoted some health "expert" talking
about how the diet will make your kidneys explode and whatnot. Oh! The
"expert" also said all that meat will make your cholesterol go back up in
the long run. Puh-leeze. When will a news organization do a story on the
true benefits of lower carb diets? Hmm, probably about the same time a
monkey flies outta my butt.

I will say, though, I do have a problem with celebrities who go on diets to
get even thinner they were to begin with. Not one male friend of mine
thinks lustful thoughts of Calista Flockhart. And when Elizabeth Hurley
said if she were as fat as Marilyn Monroe she'd kill herself, the thought of
sending her some rope did pop to mind.

NonPaleo P.S. At least one Denver-area grocery store has started to cover
the Cosmo magazines. Many customers have complained about their children
learning all about orgasms, sexual positions and other adult themes as Mommy
waits in line to pay the cashier. Seeing a magazine shielded from the eyes
of children is what made me read the magazine cover and discover the latest
low-carb bashfest. I firmly believe in freedom of speech, but that gives
the freedom to tell the Cosmo cronies to cut it out; women are more than
sperm receptacles!
