On dietary changes, Judy make a good point:

>there may be some physiological basis for this. It's also possible that
>it's related to the fact, at least in part, that when people start a new
>plan, they tend to be more attentive and diligent about what they're doing.

Meanwhile, here's a quote from Robert Crayhon, M.S.

If you’re on plateau, you might want to check for food allergies because if
you’re eating the same thing over and over again, which many people on
low-carbohydrate diets do, start rotating your foods. If you eat a food on
Monday, don’t eat it again until Friday. That kind of a four-day rotation
has helped a lot of people lose weight. It removes the possible
immunological assault that could be happening. Your immune system might be
getting so sensitive to foods you’re eating that it might be disturbing
parts of your metabolism, including the fat-burning part of your metabolism.
If you rotate your foods by four days you lessen the likelihood of a
negative effect and therefore, you’ll probably lose weight.

P.S. I feel I owe an explanation in light of a post way back when about a
job with Crayhon. I found something even better; Account Manager, Avrin
Public Relations Director. I just couldn't turn it down. I'm looking at
three paleo/low-carb promotional possibilities, none of which would conflict
with the others. In fact, I could easily cross-promote left and right. I'm
not at liberty to give details, but when I am, I will! One of them could be
HUGE. I mean, HUGE! Not for me so much as the paleo movement. Wish me (or
us, in this case) luck!
