Processed meats have repeatedly been connected to a variety of cancers. 
I'm not familiar with the optimal diet society, but the inclusion of 
dairy might  also play a role in his/her cancer. Dairy proteins contain 
opioid peptides that can down-regulate natural killer cells, the body's 
first line of defense against malignancy (1). Recent research has shown 
that opioid blocking medication, alone (2) or in combination with immune 
stimulating medication (3), can result in complete cancer remissions.
