Yes he did.  But that doesn't mean that this is the sole, correct way to
approach the diet.  His worked for him.  There has never been any
scientific experimentation to determine exactly WHICH aspect of "techology
dependent food" is necessary to remove.  The simple fact is that unless you
commit to living on a piece of land and eating only what you can hunt on or
gather from that land, you are technologically dependent.
