I find it is easy to get rid of them ,  just be careful to pick up all the tubers - they dont grow very deep, and they are clustered
closely together.
Any you miss,  which grow up afterwards are very easily pulled up, or chopped down.

A  pity they wont flower in my climate  -  perhaps they would if grown in a greenhouse ?
