Attempting to eat ZC has had a profound (in my view negative) effect on my
relationship with and enjoyment of food.

Before attempting ZC I was happy with a paleo diet that was on the lower
carb end of the scale. This managed my BG levels quite well and a good
portion of my calories came from meat.

Both attempts about 6 weeks each and 1 year apart, have left me with a
permanent revulsion for meat protein and a very low ceiling for protein from
other sources. Fat without protein is downright nauseating. I have had to up
my carbs as a result and manage my BG with medication. My ZC experiment is
regrettable to say the least.

Great that it works for some people but I reject the notion of ZC being some
universal panacea for optimal health.
