His colds almost always develop into sinus infections.  Once his body
fights
of the virus, he is left with a bacterial infection of the sinus
cavity.
This is when he usually turns to antibiotics.

Rinsing the throat and nose of mucus would probably prevent this.
What is a
saline solution though?
