Not everyone on this list is a purist, and not everyone agrees what is
paleo. Most of the actual foods of that time period no longer exist, or at
least aren't available in North America. Therefore, we paleo-minded seek out
the same categories of food, rather than try to hunt down an auroch. Some
people eat green beans, but not pinto and the like. Potatoes are eaten by
some too, but it's not a good idea to consume a lot of carbs and fat at the
same meal. Just remember, you're doing this for yourself. If you sculpt the
diet so that it is no longer pleasurable or interesting, you probably won't
stick with it. Experiment to find what works for you, and welcome to the
list!
