I am currently receiving acupuncture treatments for anxiety. I had two
treatments weekly for about 6 weeks, and then 1 treatment every 2 weeks
thereafter BUT I missed about 8 weeks after the holidays because of
scheduling conflicts, and BOY did I notice a difference (one major problem
during this time was chocolate cravings). I also have a weekly yoga class
and practice yoga every chance I get in between (sometimes I can only
practice once weekly outide of class). Yoga helps tremendously.

My acupuncturist works with me to help determine the source of the anxiety,
not to simply treat the symptoms. Not all acupuncturists are qualified or
willing to do this "intake therapy". You might want to check around and see
if you can find someone that can help you in this way. If you would like for
me to ask my acupuncturist if she can recommend someone in your area, email
me privately.
