Well, by 8-12 months, I meant that by that stage rawpalaeos get used to as well as enjoy/prefer the taste of any and all (good-quality/ie grassfed/wild etc.) raw animal foods over and above cooked animal foods. Obviously, it's a gradual process for most. For example, when I first switched to the raw, palaeolithic diet, I immediately found the taste of raw shellfish highly enjoyable. I also found many species of raw fish pleasant in taste, right at the start, and didn't mind raw beef muscle-meat, though I found it initially bland in taste. The only foods that took some time to get used to and enjoy were raw organ-meats(especially raw liver), raw wild game and aged, raw meat(aka "high-meat").

Interestingly, when I have to eat cooked foods during certain social occasions(Christmas etc.) I continue to find them utterly tasteless by comparison (and too dry due to lacking water-content etc.), but I still overeat during those times, thus making it clear that I am not getting the right "stop" signals from my brain that I get with raw foods.
