When my sister midwifed, she has heard so many stories of pregnant
women
craving and sometimes eating dirt, clay, laundry detergent, tree bark.
Lots of strange things. She has seen devout vegetarians break down and
confess to eating an entire roast or chicken. I can't recall what she
said about women who craved laundry soap................ some kind of
deficiency of some sort. The body must know what it needs and starts
to
crave it.
