I'd be interested in the tooth powder recipes, and also would like to know if
it's available in English, do you think?

I hope you're doing well.   Jon and I ate at the Outback Steakhouse last Monday,
and I thought of you.  Good steak, rare, haha.

Jon and I are doing well, change in season, so I've been so sleepy lately.  He's
started to read Light's Out, of which some paleo folks have spoken.  From what
he says it's interesting, but some of the concepts seem far out to me.  Who
knows?  Sometimes, when I step back, I realize that paleo itself is bizarre to
most people, so maybe there's truth to the notion that sunlight feeds the
bacteria in our guts, releasing chemicals, and when the sun goes down, we're
tired....  I saw a magazine recently with headlines about the dangers of soy and
immunizing, and I thought, great! the word is getting out--then I saw the other
headlines, UFO's, sci-fi, and I realized that nobody would take the articles
seriously, unless they were already believers.  sigh.

How's the car?

I have a re-print of an 19th century book with recipes for all sorts of
things. There are a few for toothpowder as well.
When I finish the load of toothpaste we still have in stock I will start
making our own powder and try to avoid the substances that are in paste.

Anyone interested in the recipe?
Some involve roseoil and sandelwoodoil, others are less fancy with
something called violetroot.  Will have to find out what that is at all
before being able to translate it.
This book contains the weirdest things, some even dangerous.  The
ingredients for toothpowder seem allright but if anyone notices a
'baddy' I'm sure they'll let me know ;-)
How to clean marble statues, how to make paint for humid houses, how to
make wood inflammable, that sort of things.  A real treasure to read
this little book.
