There is nothing in that article to suggest that inactivity is
necessary for recovery.  Rather, what is to be avoided is the
kind of muscular stress provided by the weight-training workout
in the first place.

To repeat, where is the evidence that something like racketball
on the days between high-intensity weight training sessions
causes muscles to shrink?
