Hi

This is a wild berry that grows almost everywhere in the Pacific Northwest.
It is mostly water and not too sweet and looks like a raspberry. Why is it
called a salmonberry? Maybe because bears like them as they like salmon? Or
some of the berries are the colour of salmon ranging from yellow to orange
and red to purple when too ripe. Perhaps it has another name?

All the best,
Susan
