I saw the 48 Hours thing when it came out several months back, yes, the
mother and daughter will be happy, for the first year only!!!!! Then,
hair loss sets in, sallow, sunken in eyes and cheeks slowly appear, along
with looking pale. The skin will be loose if they do not exercise. After
2 years, they will find out their bodies are not absorbing any vitamin D
or calcium. They will be given huge amounts of vit. D and calcium to
take 2-4 times a week. example: 50,000 units of vitamin D 3 times a week.
Soon to be upped to 80,000 units. Hoping their bodies will absorb 1/8 of
it. Then they will start on vitamin B12 injection. After 3 years they
will be diagnosed with osteoporosis. They will have the bones of an 80
year old woman, fearful of breaking one just getting up to go to the
bathroom. How do I know? I have 4 friend that have had this same
procedure done. 3 of them had it done via laporoscopy (spelling?), one
had it done with a vertical incision. 2 had it done in San Diego, Ca. 2
had it done in Fresno Ca. 2 have had to have repeat surgeries due to
twisted intestine and stretching of the pouch so they they call a
stomach, *so they can eat more*, also one tore her pouch of a stomach
vomiting from eating too much food, 1/4 of a happy meal at McD's.
ALL have followed the same path of doom, none have changed the foods
they used to eat before. Only the amounts. What's worse, all ages range
from 23 and childless, to 38 with children. 2 are now on full disability
from work, 1 is on partial disability. Very sad indeed.
Trish
