Although I thrive best on a meat-based diet, I seem to be sensitive to
almost every common meat (beef, chicken, and pork). I want more
choices
than lamb and fish, especially since I don't want to develop any more
sensitivities. I'm particularly concerned with finding other sources
of red
meat; however, the local butcher shops (in Ottawa, Ontario) charge
exhorbitant prices for buffalo and venison (for example, a tiny disc
of
buffalo rib steak costs over $10 Cdn). Does anyone know where I might
find
a more affordable source of these meats? Perhaps I should contact
local
farmers and find out what my options are. In the case of venison, I
wouldn't mind trying wild game, though I'm reluctant to depend on the
charity (and meat-handling skill) of hunters.
