I just read confirmation of that in the book I'm reading this morning -- 
it says that Potassium deficiency is actually driven by sodium 
deficiency, and that if potassium supplementation is ineffective, it 
likely means there is magnesium deficiency (though I find that a bit 
hard to accept that as the issue in my case, since until recently I had 
taken a daily calcium/magnesium supplement).

So if the root of all of it is sodium deficiency, I will increase the 
salt next week and see if that helps.  If not, I'll add magnesium and 
potassium.
