Actually, no. My parents had no religion; it was something other
people
did, like going to the opera. In the SF Bay Area suburbs where I grew
up,
there was a lot of open talk about religion, 99.9% Christian, but I
didn't
pay attention to it.  If I had had it rammed down my throat, I might
have
felt differently.

Things did change about 1980, when they stopped putting up "Merry
Christmas" signs and put up "Happy Holidays" signs instead. I should
have
made the connection, but like I say, it was no big deal.
