I’ve just finished „Life without bread”. One of better books I’ve read on
low-carbing. Unfortunately life is not that simple.

Question, question:

Authors stated that going low-carb too quickly can trigger some autoimmune
response since your immune system starts to work properly while your body is
still damaged by previous high carb diet so immune system attack sick
organs. It makes some sense

Anybody experienced something like that?
I know literature is full of famous “healing crises “ but my question is how
to recognize one.

Example:
When I get into high protein diet I experience knee pains (other joints are
OK)> My endurance is OK, I feel generally OK but my knees are in pain. Is
this healing crises, autoimmune response or something else?
