Hi Gregg. Welcome!
I believe most of our nutritional "wisdom" was developed while virtually
everyone was on a starch-based diet. The very reason we have needed a
high calcium intake is because a substantial amount of our food came
from sugar and flour. Yes, a decrease in saturated fat while
maintaining a starch-based diet will lower cholesterol and other
markers, but I believe it was the starch, not the fat that was the
culprit. Since I started Neanderthin, I have taken no supplements of
any kind, yet my weight, blood pressure and cholesterol have gone down,
my arthritis and allergy symptoms have all but disappeared, and I no
longer get sick. No more colds, flu, strep throat; perfect health.
YMMV.
