My assumption is that the only reason for not having signatures or
quote lines,
is the same reason for not having commercials on a commercial-free TV
or radio
station - commercials break up the flow of the program with an idea
not
necessarily related to the subject of the program.

Signatures and quotes do the same thing, since presumably someone is
going to
followup reading this message by reading another message in the
mailing list,
often in the same thread.

This is why your inclusion of your paleofitness site address seems
fine to me,
since it is a bit of data (an address) rather than a thought, and is
on-topic
(thus www.serbia.com would perhaps not be appropriate).

" Cheers, " is just a pleasantry, a closing - but I would be glad to
get rid of
it, if it were deemed necessary to enforce the rule in letter as well
as in
spirit.
