Adam,

Maybe try using paleo ingredients, but with a slightly different
presentation. The Chinese believe that fire is a very important element in
digestion. Examine how you are preparing your meals.

Are you steaming, boiling and making everything bland or watery? Perhaps you
need to add some paleo spices to give everything a little kick. Try for
example, sauteeing your veggies with some oil and ginger root. Maybe add a
dash of curry powder to your fish or chicken. Maybe deep fry something for a
change. These are more warming styles of preparation.

What climate do you live in? If its cold and wintery, you may want to limit
raw salads and tropical fruit until the summer. Paleofolks ate what was
seasonal.

Use your oven more... For example, take root veggies (carrots, parsnips,
turnips, etc), and baste them in olive oil, add a dash of rosemary and bake
for 45 minutes. This is a much more warming cooking style than just simply
cutting and boiling....

Use some high heat in at least one dish that comprises your dinner. Maybe
its too simplistic to think that if you are cold you need more "heat", but
actually some of the most valuable lessons of my life have come from simply
observing the natural order of whats right in front of my nose...

Hope this helps,

Cheers,

Judy Genova
