Oh look! There's been another paleo diet book out there for three
years that none of us has seen. How do I know no one has seen it? The
Amazon rank is 6,685,583. That means it sells a copy every year or two. See:

The Palm Springs Diet: An Old Stone Age Diet For Modern Times
http://www.amazon.com/Palm-Springs-Diet-Ken-Russ/dp/1434300366/

There are no Amazon reviews. A domain name was registered, and it was
up for a few years. See:
http://web.archive.org/web/20060615123255/http://psdiet.com/index.html

The Palm Springs Diet is a three part program which consist of:
1.) The Supplements
2.) Good Food Choices
3.) Physical Activity

Some pages can be found at Google Books:
http://books.google.com/books?id=o22OR1UGNyYC&printsec=frontcover&dq=Palm+Springs+diet&source=bl&ots=Sg80naEEgs&sig=7sS2J2dbxZD5NOXpCPYgYwBUCbc&hl=en&ei=XE4gTLKOIYP68Abd6uWYAQ&sa=X&oi=book_result&ct=result&resnum=9&ved=0CDgQ6AEwCA#v=onepage&q&f=false

I find: "What to eat: meat, fish, poultry, pork, vegetables, fruits,
nuts, honey, eggs and berries. What to avoid: grains, including corn
and soy, beans, potatoes, rice, dairy products and refined sugar."

Neanderthin does get a mention when he lists other names for the diet.

The book was self-published and obviously not promoted very well.
