I don't know about this "paleo CKD," but in general, CKD is intended for
use by people trying to do intense resistance exercise (weightlifting,
etc...) in order to build large amounts of muscle. It is not intended
for "normal" living, or general weight loss.

From the sound of it, you're doing lowcarb paleo right now. If you're
looking to lose weight, and doing it at ANY rate with your current level
of carbs, then there's no reason to change anything. If you're NOT
trying to lose weight, then you really shouldn't need to pay too much
attention to counting carbs, and should just stick to the basic paleo
foods, maybe trying to use fruits and nuts with some regard to their
normal seasonal availability.

The only reason anyone would be trying to keep carbs at or below 30 grams
would be to follow one of the very low carb weight loss plans. Atkins
starts even lower, but after two weeks you can increase that level to
find your own personal tolerance. With Protein Power, they do prescribe
30 grams for "Phase 1," which lasts until the weight drops to a certain
point.
