5-hydroxy tryptophan. Get at a HFS or mail order from Life Extension
Foundation or other source. Natural brain chemical in the complex chain
of reactions that results in serotonin in the brain. Increases
serontonin levels in the brain.

I am not suggesting a _lot_ of carbs, just a few. Perhaps one good carb
meal during the week. The trouble is that carbs are required to help the
giant tryptophan molecule cross the blood brain barrier. 5-htp gets
through easily and provides the brain fuel to produce serotonin.

People find it calms them down and helps them sleep. I take it
occasionally for the serotonin benefits. Constant use can aggravate
asthma a tad.
