Well, pemmican is processed too. Not too many folks would eat suet raw. It
gets confusing ;)

Some folks report that syrup striaght from the tree is tasty in varying
amounts--so that would make it OK raw. And from there you can cook the
living sh-t outta it (which is how maple syrup is processed) and it would
still be paleo by Ray's definition.

Good luck, Don. I don't envy the constructor of such a list. No matter what
you include/exclude _someone_ somewhere will feel it is "wrong".
