o dear...let's start at the bottom: primitive tribes move around to gain
access to the richest sources of game at any given time of year.  they
design their calendars according to this.  at a certain time the salmon are
running, later on herring spawn, eels are fat at such and such time; etc.
they look for game when it is at their fattest, because that is when the
caloric source is richest.
wow, they are cheating i guess Cordain would say.
