Hi, I'm Tree.  No, not just German Mennonite, here in the southern US it
was a standard breakfast 30 yrs ago.  Pretty much disappeared now, tho.

Years ago, my grandpa ordered scrambled eggs and brains at a restaurant.

kid you not.  It happened in a large Mennonite/Amish community where he
lived.  I've wondered from time to time if it's a German Mennonite thing
here in the US; I've never seen this on any other menu.  Just one memory
of
Grandpa Zook, God rest his soul.
