I missed the beginning of this discussion so, sorry if I'm repeating
anything.

As an ex-veterinary technician, I can tell you that a euthanized animal
has chemicals, specifically phenobarbitol, in its veins and tissues.
(Unless, of course, someone euthanized it with a 2x4.  Hey--it
happens.)  I would not want to feed this to my companion animal if I had
the choice, any more than I care to eat an animal whose feed contained
antibiotics.
