Is there any really good hard evidence that msm is helpful?

The usual theory I see for msm is that there is a lot of sulfur used in the
body.

However, there is a lot of carbon used in the body, but I don't see "charcoal
supplements" advertised (perhaps a new financial opportunity for someone?).
