I wondered the same thing, considering the person's
e-mail addy -- "AllCreatures.aol.com" -- and the fact
that they posted variations of the same message
several times.

The same type of thing happens on some of the lists
that discuss raw diets for dogs.  Every once in a
while an unfamiliar poster will make comments that
lead you to wonder why they're on the list if the
concept is so repulsive to them.  Some of the BARF
lists now have closed subscription so the list owners
can screen who's joining.
