corn and wheat are definitely the worst offenders for wreaking havoc with my
system. I rarely eat dairy anymore though hard cheeses don't seem to bother
me much. The only beans I eat are lentils once in a while and I avoid other
legumes except peanut butter once in a while.

Interesting. I have severe allergies and symptoms when I "cheat".

I have trouble with beans including peanuts but not with lentils so much. I
wonder why, given that lentils are apparently legumes. I have not tried
eating a lot of lentils over a few days and perhaps sensitivities are there
and would come out with prolonged exposure.

I too eat some occasional hard cheese. I try to make sure it is from raw
milk but it doesn't bother me much, even if it is from pasteurized cow's
milk even though I am allergic to milk.

To me, the "foreign proteins" theory holds some water but obviously the
issues are far more complex.
