Here, copied VERBATIM, is Maddy Mason's statement, which you persist in
calling incorrect.

I repeat- "In the vast majority of cases of CD. . ." CD stands for Celiac
Disease, NOT inflammatory bowel disease. I have NEVER made statements about
IBD. Why do you insist upon telling me I wrote things which I did not write?

In my last post I quoted statements from two recognized authorities on CD,
corroborating my statements, and yet you persist in telling me what I am
writing is incorrect. I do NOT appreciate being told my easily verified
statements are incorrect, when I know they are not. I never wrote about IBD.
I wrote about CD. And I repeat, again, what I wrote is quite correct.

Once again (and I sincerely hope this puts it to rest!)". . .This is not my
own personal opinion nor speculative conjecture; intestinal damage and the
healing of same is verifiable through endoscopy and intestinal biopsy. Again,
(as I clearly stated several times) I am talking about CD, NOT IBD.

From the National Digestive Diseases Information Clearinghouse website, <A
HREF="http://www.niddk.nih.gov/health/digest/pubs/celiac/">Celiac Disease</A>,
under the section Treatment, "For most people, following this diet will stop
symptoms, heal existing intestinal damage, and prevent further damage.
Improvements begin within days of starting the diet, and the small intestine
is usually completely healed- meaning the villi are intact and working- in 3
to 6 months."

From the site, A Doctor Describes Celiac Disease, <A
HREF="http://members.ozemail.com.au/~coeliac/sprue.html">A doctor describes
coeliac disease</A>, Dr. Joseph Murray, MD, PhD, one of leading US physicians
in the diagnosis and treatment of Celiac Disease, under the section, The
Standard Definition of CD, "CD is a permanent intolerance to gluten that
results in damage to the intestine and is reversible with avoidance of
dietary gluten."

Having to repeatedly defend my factual statements is tiring and irritating.
This is not even a controversial issue subject to various opinions and
interpretations, which is the real meat of this list. (OK, pun intended.)
Let's please get past this so we can get back to discussing Paleo eating and
concepts.
