Navaho were farmers, corn beans and squash mainly. Hunting would have
been very secondary.

I have a Navaho girlfriend in AZ and she grew up as a hunter gatherer as did
her parents.  She says hunting is what they did best.  Her daughter can take
down a buck with bow and arrow today.  She also hunts in Alaska.
