     There's always the ever-popular, all-purpose California reply:
        "Thankyou for sharing."

     You could just say..let's agree to disagree.

     Mainly don't work hard.  You don't have to justify what you do. You
only need say 'it works for me at this time'.  Let the other person ask
questions **if they want to**...legitimate questions for
information..not just questions to prove how stupid/wrong  you are. You
don't have to convince another of anything, justify what u do or defend
it.
But don't just put up with abuse either.
