The properties of fish oil and olive oil are quite different. Fish oil is
high in polyunsaturates, particularly the long chain omega 3 (C-22) fatty
acids, EPA and DHA. Olive oil is very high in monounsaturated fatty acids
(C-18). I've never heard of either one causing mucous formation or sore
throat -- but you never know. We should  take a look on medline or do a
google search or email Mary Enig.
