A recent study compared rates of cancer between European and American 
coffee drinkers - it found that Europeans get less cancer from it.
The reason given was that Europeans use paper filters more than 
Americans.                     (url not recorded)

So it looks like paper-filtered coffee is healthier, might even be 
reducing the acrylamides.
