Susan, hope your mother gets better soon. Suggest progesterone cream, a
brand such as pro-gest, one with real progesterone (if you can get it
where you are.) This helps build bone mass. Lots of osteoporosis is due
to unopposed estrogen and progesterone can build one mass very quickly.
