Unless you spend lots and lots of time naked while you "hunt" and
"gather" (and the meat/fruit/veggie isles at Walmart won't work),
vitamin D3 supplementation would be essential. Most Americans are very
deficient and increases in cancer rates, diabetes, MS, cardiovascular
diseases, etc. are highly correlated by latitude and increasing vitamin
D deficiency. Blacks for example have higher rates of these diseases in
the US. The lab reference range is 32-100 ng/ml and most Americans when
tested the first time come in under 32. I've seen perhaps 100+ reports
by people who got tested the first time and their blood D levels range
between 10 and 25 ng/ml. Active sun loving youthful people closer to
the equator have blood levels that range from 100 to 150 ng/ml, way
above the lab reference range in the US; they also get more UVB exposure
there.

I take 9000 IU/day of D3 and my blood work ranges between 62-67 ng/ml.
I purchased a UVB sunlamp and intend to start using it to try to move my
blood levels higher. Going to a tanning booth will give you UVA, not UVB.
