Just heard on radio: A human DNA researcher at Stanford speculates
that the white skin of north europeans is not only the result of
less sunlight (lighter skin is more sensitive to generate vit. D)
but also compensates for less meat in the agricultural diet, wich
makes for less intake of vit. D. So we have to compensate for two
factors (compare with inuits who only had to compensate for less light).
