Yes, your guess about he words "Till jul" is right!
The yule log is not a typical swedish thing (actually I'm looking for the swedish word "sedvänja" - can anyone of our swedish friends help me??) but we do have a range of other strange "sedvänjor". But now I'm definitely off topic! :-)
